The classic. A whiskey-forward stirred cocktail that gave its name to a whole family of drinks (the Brooklyn (cocktail), Black Manhattan, Red Hook, Brooklyn Ferry, The Erin).
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Rye whiskey
- 1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a brandied cherry.
