The dry-leaning predecessor to the Manhattan cocktail — traditionally made with Amer Picon, often substituted with a rich, dry-leaning amaro.

Ingredients
- 2 ounces Rye whiskey
- 3/4 ounce dry vermouth
- 1/4 ounce Maraschino Liqueur
- 1/4 ounce Amaro Averna (or Amer Picon if available)
Directions
- Stir all ingredients with ice until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
